>>212475829nah, I kinda agree with OP, Turkey is definitely punching above their weight, they have a lot of industries they're specialized in and excel at, like construction (a large part of highways in eastern Europe are being built by Turkish companies), bus manufacturing or even hair transplantation, which requires having skilled workforce, engineers, doctors and so on.
And most importantly, they have their own domestic capital, big companies created and run by Turks. Unlike eastern Europe where everything belongs to westerners and is here only due to favorable business conditions for now but once they find a better option somewhere in India they will move there in the blink of an eye.
Turkey definitely deserves respect, they are an interesting economic model to be followed by many 3rd world countries who do not have guaranteed capital inflow like eastern EU countries have from the EU.
