Are Asians not told, when they're children, not to shuffle their feet when they walk? Because when I hear or see someone shuffling their feet, it's almost always an Asian.

I didn't even shuffling is considered a bad thing in the west until this thread. I just assumed as long as you're not wearing latex flip flops on surfaces that makes squeaking sounds or anything equally loud it doesn't matter. Maybe you're just sensitive.

I was never told that. I just learned it on my own, an early hint of my intellect perhaps? Regardless, I quickly surpassed my peers and teachers at walking skill.
