I face a lot of racism from Americans online but no American has ever been openly racist to me in real life. It's very confusing.

The only stereotypes I have heard about Indians is that they are doctors and they smell bad. I haven't even heard anyone mentioning the scammer thing. I think most working class Americans don't know what India even is. The most hated minorities are Latinos and Blacks. My city is 35 percent Black and 20 percent Latino. No one ever talks about Indians because they're a non-issue.

But on Twitter, Reddit, 4chan, timmies are seething about us 24*7.

I think most of the anger against Indians comes from a cognitive dissonance like how are they doctors if they are brown and ugly? But average White outside the internet is more concerned about hating Blacks and Latinos. That's why it'd important not to get carried away by the online hate. Average Timmy you see on the street doesn't give a fuck about Indians.

Growing up the only Indians I ever saw were doctors and engineers and shit. They didn't speak broken English and basically didn't have any accent at all

It takes a lot more effort to be racist in real life than to write shit on Twitter and chans. I have seen whites being racist to blacks and Latinos in real life, and also blacks being racist to whites and Latinos. Indians are irrelevant. At best someone might make a rude joke about bad smell or curry. But I've never seen Americans actually misbehave with Indians

I have seen timmies getting angry at spics for talking in Spanish ("this is America, we speak English"), refer to the Black areas as the "bad parts of town" or some other euphemism.

Black people also talk shit non-stop and you can't tell them that it's bad.
