Because Adam & Eve is the result of middle easterners appropriating the origin mythos of arriving european populations. Schizos of Egypt and Mesopotamia had the same syncretic delusion as Alexander the Great in that all myths surely had to originate from the same stories. (Which isn't true)
The Golden Apple age-lengthening myth of HORSERIDING eurasians got merged with the fruit of wisdom myth of mesopotamians, which is how they syncretised the tree-based Adam and Eve into the wisdom tree myth of the middle east.
