winter is fine up and until christmas, anything after christmas/new years it becomes unbearable, here it starts to get cold in November and by December we are close to 0c everyday, but January and February are our coldest months and there isn't anything to look forward to until late April/early May when spring hits.

summer is just better because you can go outside whenever you want and it stays light outside until 8/9pm, winter its dark by 5pm and miserable and cloudy and cold.
