I feel bad for saying this but there's something so sinister about Asian cities. There are millions of Asians there, speaking their Asian languages, obeying their Asian superstitions, eating their Asian foods, engaged in inscrutable Asian politics, having Asian babies, and all the while wearing suits and ties, driving cars, living in monolithic structures of glass and concrete and steel like any American or European. My burger neighbor, it's not called hell joseon because of how it looks, it's called hell joseon because the social cost and sacrifices needed to keep it that way with 45 million people (5 million are foreigners that just drag them down). It's a small country with a small-ish population that competes with countries much larger than itself. There is no rest, the waves never stop coming. And the cost of doing so is causing it to implode.
