Is life in the US really drastically different depending of which city you were born in? Aside from too different states (like Mississippi and Massachusetts)? Like, will your life in Cleveland really be totally different than your life in Atlanta?

my impression is that the really meaningful distinction is between urban/suburban/rural life, not between individual cities or states
