It's the Philippines. If you're over the age of 30 you're unemployable.

really? considering his popularity, it's hard to believe he ran his election campaign solely on his own money

not really popular now

surrounds himself with vultures + can't let go of fame
the whole campaign was a ploy for bagmen and campaign managers to siphon his money; guy should have stayed in retirement, maybe opened a boxing gym or two

it is sad what is happening to pacqioiau. he should have retired and become something cool like mike tyson philanthropist who lives in a private island with tigers or something.

he does this weird vlog shit who is actively trying to be relevant.

I dont think its about the money, but he probably got addicted to the fame. He was the most respected and well loved person in the Philippines at one point. It also doesnt help that we have a new generation of reddit types who hasnt seen his work in the past and solely knew him from his days as a senator(still based was basically a fundamentalist Christian that made sure no globohomo bills get passed in congress)

I still defend him today, but its just sad, its like watching your favorite celebrity get bogged instead of aging with grace.
