I only had a two year taste of it, but the white kids were definitely better in those environments. All the brown started dropping off like flies approaching senior year and it was just "damn, this is so much better now". Although a large part of the resentment is definitely due to how much the school covered and coddled for them.

It was half and half and that was intolerable enough for me and the people around me. But it's very easy to see how it goes from a displeasing annoyance to actually dangerous if it's 10% white/90% brown. My cousins were at more swarthy schools and it just meant constantly more fights.
