a metal saw will churn through wood like butter that's not the problem
>>212607553
it's not poorly designed retard it's designed for cutting much smaller metal parts with disposable blades held straight in tension. you need a stiff, light bow that will stretch the saw blade. if you want a stiff and light part you need to make it essentially hollow, which takes up space

ok but why are the blade and the bow not of the same thickness? the bow wouldn't block the path to cutting below the perpendicular length of the hollow space

I'm not sure about that. Women, even highly educated and "intelligent" women, have abysmal spatial awareness. Like, it seems they're only vaguely aware of their surroundings at the best of times. You can't really judge a foid's intelligence by their ability to perceive and interpret 3-dimensional space. It would be like saying a man is stupid because he doesn't have the dexterity of a cat. Their brains just fundamentally lack the capacity for it, they're not wired to understand how objects interact with their surroundings.

>why are the blade and the bow not of the same thickness?
I just fucking explained to you, retard. You need the bow to be stiff, so it can tension the blade. You can't make a stiff part as narrow as the blade out of any non-exotic material, due to how area moments of inertia work. You need to place material as far as possible from the deflection axis to get stiffness, ergo you use a hollow tube for the bow.

The blade itself whips around like a wet noodle. It's not stiff at all in the plane normal axis.

The design of the metal saw is simple and elegant, but it necessitates a wider bow. You want a narrow blade, but it cannot be stiff because it's narrow. So you wrap a much stiffer, wider bow around the blade and tension it.

Why is that vice not fastened to anything?
And why doesn't she see that the bow is already touching the wood?
Did she get to choose the saw herself or was it provided to her?

Women genuinely do not perceive objects and space the same way we do. They're more or less just following a sequence of motor commands without really perceiving how they effect the environment around them.

It's a hacksaw, you can swap blades to whatever you like. A wooden blade will just have bigger teeth, you can also get brush saws or brush saw blades for hacksaws that have huge gnarly teeth and are surprisingly great at cutting things less than a few inches in diameter quickly
