The "spoiled" taste was actually the first part I noticed after ordering some US candy. I could see myself getting used to it, especially if I grew up with it, but it'd take a long time to associate the sourness with something other than vomit.

I tasted it in cereal and it does add something that's not completely unpleasant, there's a complexity to it that's lacking in euro chocolate cereal
