I don't get this. If a bus line gets enough traffic to warrant air-conditioned stops, why not spend a bit more and convert it to a tram line? It's not like they don't have the money to do it.

Our modern trams a lot larger and more comfortable than the city buses. Faster as well since they don't get stuck in traffic.

We have air-cooled bus stops in my fucking town...

This is the busiest bus stop in my city. It has two small shelters, trash cans, a countdown clock, and they built a sidewalk extension so the bus doesn't have to pull in and out of traffic and can stop in the bus lane. This is as nice as it gets in my city.
