I have worked as a waitress at a Japanese beef bowl chain for over 30 years.
More than 30 years ago, I was studying literature at a prestigious Japanese university.
However, due to the recession in Japan at that time, I could only find a job at a gyudon chain restaurant despite having graduated from university.
Although I graduated from a prestigious Japanese university, I spent all my days serving thinly sliced beef bowls for the poor to customers, day after day after day, being abused by dirty old men who were far less educated than I was.
And yet, with the recent arrival of immigrants in Japan, I was told yesterday by the manager of the restaurant where I work
The immigrants work more energetically and you reek of old age. As of today, you are fired.
I have been making gyudon for more than 30 years, and I can do nothing but make gyudon.
What should I do now?
I hate the immigrants who took my beef bowl away from me.
