That has always been the case. Imageboards are far more seminal of mainstream culture than most people realize. Not just 4chan, by the way.

The other way around happens too doe. I see zoomer ebonics and slang being tossed around on the 'chan ironically all the time.
The entire internet is more homogenous now compared to before, it's not like the 2000s when every forum/site had its own distinct culture.

You can see green texting everywhere on Twitter, Youtube, etc. I don't think these people even know where this is from.
