Ok Italians are not Italians, Alpine Lombards and everything else that eats marroni for a living are rather different from lowlanders Italians and southrons. Ticinesi are alpine Lombards. They have their own culture, actual several different ones, depending on the valley. pic is Ambri, a mountain village with less than 800 inhabitants (because they fusioned 4 villages into one administration), and league A hockey club with 5k+ attendance per game. And yeah, its Swiss, things are on time, roads are spotless, and everything else works to Swiss standards.

It’s weird, Greece is a broken down mess of a country like Italy, but is part of the charm of Greece, everyone just accepts that because is been broken forever but life still beautiful. In Italy is the same but less nice because Italy jusst not as chill, they seem to still have the attitude of empire, the expectation that everything should work and frustration that its not right. I think this appeals to the German obsession with improvement. Greece is a little too free for the German mind, sure it’s nice for a little while, but before too long the German must either go back to where there is some more rigid order he can rely on, or he finds some way he can organize something uniquely there, like drug or prostitution service, and dominate. Germans struggle to just relax and enjoy.
