How often do you encounter them and how do you deal with them?
How do you feel about them?
I just encountered one and it disturbed me deeply.

I live in florida. We have the largest roaches on the planet. They are fucking huge.

They also have wings and they fly. They can and will fly directly at your face.

They like to invade your house when it rains. One time 3 came in my room when it was raining.

Apparently there's German cockroaches in southern Sweden where the immigrants have brought them into the country.
But non here in the north.

i attempt to kill them but they fly away. Their flight abilities are dependent on how healthy they are. In winter, thehy don't fly much. But in hot and humid conditions they can really fly. No projectile was good enough.

They also dart all in random directions when startled, bouncing off of objects.

I just gave up and left my room and came back after it stopped raining and they were gone.

They're around 3 inches (7-8 cm) here, and, like I said, they like to fly

honestly, the left one in that picture looks like a slightly bigger version of ordinary crickets that you see in Japan.
you wouldn’t want to encounter black roaches that we have. It’s the most disgusting looking creature on this planet i swear

I'm utterly disgusted by them if they are mostly harmless.
Had an infestation a year ago, I have a garden but the specialist I called said they came from the sewers.
They were wiped out.
If you can't get rid of them call the pros, it is totally worth it.

I was having a problem with these large ones, but i think it was just stragglers crawling up from the sewer system
Since then what I've done is at night I close the drain on my sink and cover up the bathtub drain and also keep the light on in the bathroom
haven't had any since
apparently they hate the light, so keeping on a light where you think they may be coming from is a pretty effective solution

only bugs i get in my house are mosquitos, flys and the occational spider. had a ant invasion in my kitchen but i got rid of them, it was the tiny sugar ant type not the wood eating type so nothing bad just a sign i didnt clean up well enough.

how big were them?
mine most likely come from the little forest next to my apartment. I encountered a big one today but I saw a tiny baby one the other day. It’s so over.
The worst part is I don’t have bed so I have to sleep on the floor. How can I be sure they won’t be chilling on my face while im asleep?

I suspect they have already done making nest in the closet in my room. Its so messy inside with all the junk and I don’t even bother opening it anymore because I’ll probably see a hundred of them if i do. I made up my mind to clean it before summer comes, but i was just lazy and left it
