Indonesia gave permission to build the high-speed railway to Japan, and even though Japan prepared data such as geological surveys and economic effects, Indonesia handed that data to China and canceled the plan with Japan. Furthermore, Indonesia has not paid for the subway built by Japan, resulting in all but one Japanese company withdrawing from the project.
