I work 6 days a week every month except 1 week per month and my mother is unironically screaming and losing her mind complaining that I "never do anything" because on that one week-end I sleep and watch shows on the computer (if there is nothing important to do) instead of going out to be some kind of super social human. She also often asks me for money since I make a lot more than her. Happens in your country? Would I be a bad person for leaving and cutting off all ties permanently with her?

Sometimes when she goes insane to the point where I feel like I'm going to lose it, I tell her that I'll quit my job because I'm unable to rest on the one week where I work only 40 hours and not 48 hours. She proceeds to go even more insane. There is nothing rational about this being. I have never seen this. She's like this with everyone, always complaining about anything she can complain about. Then she'll tell you you're heartless if you go live on your own for a bit and block her completely or abusive if you scream back at her once after she breaks your ears for (not exagerating) multiple hours.

You just have to either put up with it or move on. My mom has drank at least 4 screwdrivers every single day for the last 30 or so years and becomes an insufferable drunk by around 5pm. If you want her in your life you take the good with the bad.
