can anyone explain to me why 2nd hand dodge challengers in Europe are so cheap compared to bmws/audis with similar hp and engine?
is it because car parts are expensive as fuck to find and buy in europe or what

Challengers are absolutely cheaply built bo frills cars that are just designed to be powerful and affordable. There is nothing complex about them. They're built by drunk Canadian rednecks/injuns and are basically just a 20 year old Mercedes chassis with cheaper Mexican parts thrown in and a pushroad engine. There is no reason for them to be expensive.

parts for american cars are dirt cheap and easy to buy even here. rockauto exist after all.
american muscle cars is buildt crudely and simple, there is no finesse to it. to produce hp they just add more displacement instead of more cams, valves and turbos.
there are both pros and cons to this approach.

Modern muscle cars never really gained any popularity here.
Swedish boomers love old Detroit steel and giant engines with zero modern tech in them.

there are sites where you can verify the history of the car, if it was damaged, what was changed, how many kms it originally has etc, that is if it was repaired in a legal workshop and not in some guy's garage

they're very expensive here since you have to do a RHD conversion to be able to register it.

Yeah Carfax/Autocheck, I use Ukrainian websites that let you run one for $3-8 USD.

Just bear in mind a top spec Challenger SRT/Scat Pack/6.2 is equivalent to a 340i/C43 AMG in performance (those actually cost $60k USD vs $45-50k here).

They're honestly nice cars if you're looking for a fun cruiser, in USA they have bad negro stigmata + high theft rates cuz easy to steal. They're more refined than given credit for if you can get past the shitty interior and even a coupe its huge inside (will actually fit 4 fully grown adults)
