I'm a NEET. Single, no gf, no kids. I get 1289€/m with the CPAS and it's more than enough to live in a medium-sized Walloon city. Being considered "poor" I also get free food every week at the Resto du Coeur (heart restaurant). Picrel is what I got this week.

IMPOSSIBLE to suffer in Japan. This is destitute tier in France wtf even for a single person excluding reclusive neets.

I make 1500€/month after taxes, I live with my parents so I spend only like 250€/month in food and other stuff.
I want to move out but I don't like the idea of spending half my salary on rent, so I've been postponing it.

Brutal. You're poor in France if you earn less than $1500 and this japiga makes do with $1200 and kids. Europe is a hellhole.

It's actually not bad at all, I don't live extravagantly and I'm saving a big chunk of my salary.

I refuse to believe you guys earn this little in your first world countries.
I make 3.2k usd net a month and I am just a normal urban engineer that mostly just does geodetic measurements.

I don't have boomer Japanese mentality that you have to spend a lot of money on education. If the kid is smart he can go to college. I'm not helping pay fore a mediocre university so they can do a stupid office job that pays shit.
I'm probably going to get another job.
Already tired all the time so idk how I will do lol

I make 620€ in gibs every month though they've started cheating to cut me off.
Keep in mind our food and electronics prices are equivalent to the EU standard. Minimum wage is around 900€ and I have to pay the same for a loaf of bread as a German.
