I live here in Stockholm and it takes me 25 minutes to cycle to my office.
When I drive, it's minimum 45-50 minutes due to traffic and longer route. Often more in rush hour.
On my bike I just cut straight through the city on the bike paths.

When I was a student in Germany I did a Werkpraktikum that was in the next smaller city from mine and I lived somewhere in between in a kind of suburb.
It was 22min by car and 2hr30min by public transport, because the only connection was to take the train back into the larger city and then grab another train to the smaller city. And the schedules didn't even line up so you had to wait 15min between stops.
