The thing is, most records are available here since the catholic church kept records of ALL marriages so thats why I can basically trace most of my ancestry to early 1500s when they discovered America, settled here and some mixed with the indigenous population. Lots of Spaniards came with their wifes but many married native americans. Contrary to popular belief, most Spaniards married within their noble lineages and if they were getting married to indias it would usually be with the noble caste of the mesoamerican tribes. Apparently they came into arrangements with the local caciques to get their daughters marreied to some Spaniard conquistadores.
Also, most Spaniard conquistadores descend from noble lineages. Its also a myth that they were pirates or low class. Basically the noble lineages that I was able to find was through the conquistadores that came here.
