The prime minister of my country announced that to reduce deficit (they need to find 40 billion euros) there will be 2 canceled public holidays next year and new taxes on things such as packages for online purchases, but said that there will be no decrease on pensions (338 billion euros per year), despite the fact that retirees save more than 15% of their income (higher on average than the working population).

Is your country ruled by old people for the benefit of old people?

Unfortunately not. I say that because I hope to get old one day. I'm soooo tired of working.
