When my dad dies (which will be sooner rather than later, he was older when I was born) I am taking my boomer inheritance and moving to the Philippines. Their English is not as great as people assume. They all have a very basic understanding of the language, I guess it's a priority in their school system, but the vast majority of them never get the opportunity to use those language skills in real life. I already know some Filipinas I met online and they are far from fluent. I know there is a market there for English-language instruction from a native, white speaker.
