Lol. The jizya is a tax levied on non-Muslims in lieu of military service. Non-muslims who pay the jizya are EXEMPTED from being conscripted. Muslims have to pay the zakat (tithe) AND are still liable for conscription. Christians and Jews are allowed to continue their religion unmolested. Churches and Jewish temples are inviolate, as are priests, nuns and monks. Pagans fare worse and are usually forced to convert. During the Arab conquests, many Christian towns voluntarily defected because the jizya was lower than the feudal taxes.
