Your body needs time to get used to temperature changes, main reason why so many catch a cold during autumn and spring. Constantly switching between enviroments where you have 30+ degrees to 24 degrees will inevitably make you feel like shit.
I only use AC when it's very hot like 32+ degrees and set it to 27. Also it gives that feeling of "fake cold", it's not the same type of cold of when it's winter, you can feel that it is artificial and not doesnt feel as good. The cold you feel when a summer thunderstorm arrives it's infinitely better, i wish they appeared more often so there wouldnt be any need of AC.

When I go to hotels in hot zones, AC always fucks my throat if I leave it on during the night.

I just sleep naked and have an ice cold coca cola bottle by my side. Fortunately I live in the mountains of San Goblino so it's not as hot as the rest of the country, I could never afford AC in my hut.
