Remembering the time you visited your grandparents house for the first and only time as a 10 year old kid.

The zoomers unironically figured it out. All the tiktok edits capture what the feel is supposed to be pretty well

It literally just means longing.
Examples of the feeling would be:
"I miss home." (Homesickness > Longging of home > Saudade of home)
"I miss going out with my friends." (Desire to resume a relationship > longging of connection > saudade of friends)

If nostalgia is the apreciation of things past, saudade would be the desire to expirience them again. Usually this has a negativve conotation becuse you can never expirence a moment the exact same way, effectivly never fulfilling the original desire of reexpirence.
