Honestly though our "it's called the speed limit but you can do 9 over" is kind of bullshit and the cops should have just beaten people who nag about "ohhhhh you pulled me over for 5 miles over the speed limit?" with nightsticks until they shutted the fuck up.
Enforcing the speed limit is actually one of the best applications for tyranny because it has proven increased mortality rates, and also because it's a great way to preemptively beat people with daddy issues before they get further out of line.
