Japan has entire industries catering to single neets: anime, manga, idols, soaplands, 24/7 konbinis, etc.
Japan is fully aware of the issue and tries its best to reintegrate NEETs into society.

Western societies just completely ignore the problem. NEETs are ignored. invisible. Any issue that affects young males gets shrugged off as an individual "skill issue" rather than a systemic failure.
