I doubt some modern Chinese person has any more in common with their ancient ancestors than some Peruvian farmer does. Probably less given the shorter time frame between them.

im not chinese but the chinese are the only people who are actually connected to the ancient civilization that was there. egyptians, greeks, iraqis, all larp unfortunately.

At the absolute most you could connect modern China with the Han dynasty.
Anything prior to Zhou is completely separated from modern Chinese culture.
Pic is what Chinese characters looked like back in the Qin era. Anything from Western Zhou and Shang, let alone Xia, is even more alien.
