I went to Mexico for this first time.
As a gringx it was a very enlightening experience.
In Yucatan there are no flies, no mosquitoes.
It is warm and sunny all the time.
The fruits taste sweeter than in USA.
The rains are spontaneous but pleasant and usually only happen in the mornings right before everyone wakes up.
There's a beach and beautiful azure waters.
People take siestas all the time.
The history and culture is well preserved. Everyone is proud to have Mayan heritage and tell you about Mayan ruins/artifacts. They don't just bulldoze indigenous remains to build Walmarts and crap like we do in the US.
This gives the place an absolute GIGA TON of SOVL.
Everyone is poor as fuck but they're all happy despite it.
If thirdies on this board ever tell you that they suffer they're lying.
Leaving Cancun to return to infernal gloomy hellscape that is the Midw*st is unironically the most painful thing a sentient being can experience in this reality.
