I love Japan somewhat less. I visited Japan and suffered the "Paris syndrome" when reality was not as hype as my fantasies. I saw littering, queue jumping, public drunks etc. Japan is like just any other Asian country, not this ultra modern futuristic utopia. However, I discovered the Japanese natural scenery and rural areas which are superlatively beautiful. All in all, a net positive.
