Why were the Anglos in America the only people that didnt become "Hyphenated-Americans"?

Scots Irish and Scottish settled the south and some became wealthy through plantations but others lived more humblely and away from large urban centers. They weren't any poorer than the immigrants that stayed on the coasts when starting out.

I'm not even sure what you meant by any of that. I'm just saying that while America was an Anglo man's nation, that didn't preclude those that joined the Anglo man's nation back in England. Something like 1 in 5 englishmen is descended from French huguenot that went over in the reformation. Not to mention all the protestant Germanics that quickly assimilated which isn't surprising considering the puritans originally lived among the Dutch before reaching Plymouth rock. Also don't bad mouth the Anglo Saxon people it's very rude and I could easily insult you but I am too civilized to do so.

The Germans and Scandis existed before that, just not the Midwestern ones. The real rule of thumb for Americans is pre-civil war. If you came after the civil war then you are basically a rootless cosmopolitan.

Anyways this gigachad aside no one really likes brits so they make sure they do not associate with them. Here in europe they got buck broken into doing brexit and in america everyone else makes sure that their name is not stained by association with brit americans and so they say they are country origin-american.
