Why were the Anglos in America the only people that didnt become "Hyphenated-Americans"?

I'm not even sure what you meant by any of that. I'm just saying that while America was an Anglo man's nation, that didn't preclude those that joined the Anglo man's nation back in England. Something like 1 in 5 englishmen is descended from French huguenot that went over in the reformation. Not to mention all the protestant Germanics that quickly assimilated which isn't surprising considering the puritans originally lived among the Dutch before reaching Plymouth rock. The Germans and Scandis existed before that, just not the Midwestern ones. The real rule of thumb for Americans is pre-civil war. If you came after the civil war then you are basically a rootless cosmopolitan.
