Honestly, I'm not far off of construction already - I'd *love* to do equipment operation, and I've got a bit of a background - about 60 hours operating an excavator, but that's not a lot for applying with.

I like /fit/ness, I don't like blowing my knees out for Leaf Monopoly-money fiat.

At the moment, it's between:
>retail for $17 an hour, 10 minutes from where I live, sit on my ass and sell phones all day
>equipment operator for $22 an hour, 30 minutes away from where I live - sit on my ass all day, but potentially kill someone by accident, and potentially have to fill in on physical labor

And 90% likely I won't get either of those jobs.
Out of everyone I knew, before I burned all my bridges, like, 30% *had* jobs. Every other zoomer I knew was unemployed.
