yes I'm okay with Americans having a stake in defending this region because the Russians are aggressive expansionists. Western eurocucks know they are completely helpless but instead of discussing investing in the military, the hot button issue is increasing the retirement age from 53 to 54. Spain doesn't even want to go to 3% of GDP for defense. You can't rely on these bastards for anything

most countries that dont perceive the US as a threat, especially ones that are in a military alliance with them like poland benefit greatly from having US bases there.

first and foremost they pay a premium price for renting the land the base is on often decades in advance and second of all these bases buy a fuckton of local services and goods. and in most of these countries the US base doesnt bother the country other than the occasional drunk brawl in the nearby town.

for all intents and purposes this is free money, they'd happily host italian,french,uk.... other nato bases if they offered.
