I have no freaking idea what career to go into in my country

Everything is getting automated, all high-skill job wages are getting suppressed by migration, the only people thriving are property speculators which isn't even a real job. Everything is changing and I can't see which direction is the path forward.

What's the safest choice in your country?

Doctor is the ultra safe, high status, never out of fashion job.

i’d say law, marketing, and the trades for non-STEM

for STEM, i’d say medical, engineering, and scientific research are all decent routes

LOL. those are some of the first jobs to be sold out to foreign workers. literally just today a bunch of industrial companies are suing the leaf government for cutting back on temporary workers. the only long term career you can count on is government which is constantly expanding.

There's a lot about what they do which is going to get automated. Already I would trust AI to process my tests and scans with a higher level of accuracy than some old boomer. Even though it's a prestige job, I think large chunks of it are more easily replaced than many dumber, manual jobs

the future is NEET, there won't be enough jobs for everyone. that probably means mass castrations and gulags for most people.
