Guam is about 2.5 times further away from the west coast than Hawaii, and is also smaller.

If you think of Guam when you think of tourist destinations I just assume you're in the military.

Nta
It's has some tourist but Hawaii is closer and cheaper to get to. I've been to Guam probably a dozen times. If I ever leave vi I will move there. Once you leave the continent you understand how bad it actually is in general. I would not live in most states outside of cal, very!omt, nh, Wyoming, Maine a couple places

Yeah. Guam is really nice, it's hard to find land or a place. Usually it's family or military who settled there or are stationed there. It's pretty close knit. I know people who live in vi half the year the other half gaum

Nmi is basically a bunch of stretches of beaches with a random resort city. AS nice but poor in general

Friendly reminder that we owned that island, as many others.

officially claimed by Spain until January 26, 1565, by Miguel López de Legazpi.[19]:46 From 1565 to 1815, Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands, the only Spanish outposts in the Pacific Ocean east of the Philippines, were reprovisioning stops for the Manila galleons, a fleet that covered the Pacific trade route between Acapulco and Manila.[19]:51

Spanish colonization commenced on June 15, 1668, with the arrival of a mission led by Diego Luis de San Vitores, who established the first Catholic church.[19]:64 The islands were part of the Spanish East Indies, and part of the Viceroyalty of New Spain, based in Mexico City.[19]:68 The Spanish-Chamorro Wars on Guam began in 1670 over growing tensions with the Jesuit mission, with the last large-scale uprising in 1683.[19]:86

I don't think that is fair since Guam wants to stay a part of the United States

the real reason its popular is because of the birth tourism, drug buying, gun buying. at least here yes. but its pretty safe, very easy to travel to, has pretty nice tropical forests. it cant be compared to hawaii, but its sure its a pretty nice tourist destination

I was stationed at Andersen and it is not a tourist attraction. Guam is like Columbus Ohio except tropical. It's all government and military crap. They do have tour boats there but it takes all day to get to the other islands. They also have giant frogs that get run over all the time, but you can dry them out and turn them into big frisbees.

No surf to speak of and the beaches arte nothing special either. It's either stinking hot or raining like hell.

Well, at least we owned it for several centuries, more than the USA.
>>212973534
We already had been an Empire for 400 years. Empires don´t last forever. Spain has been more powerful and important (a world Empire for 400 years and the most powerful country in the world for 150 years) than what the USA has been (just a world superpower for 60 years)

In fact we named that ocean: Oceano Pacífico and did things like this.
