you ever think about just how bad the world has gotten? And I'm not just talking about le western civilization has fallen. Globally things just seem to be getting worse for all of humanity, and the planet as a whole. (in your country of course.)

I think it's overblown. The first world is fucked, of course, but things have never been better in rural Zimbabwe.

things were only that bad because of the forced industrialization from colonialism. Sure it's "improving" but now they slowly are just becoming another generic 1st world country. And with it the psychological problems that inevitably arise in such a society.

Yeah I think we took technology too far, it's overall less happy to have a (relatively) easy but meaningless life compared to the struggle of survival our ancestors faced. We are evolved to do certain things and the world changed so much in past 200 years since industrialization, evolution has not kept up that fast.

Like now it is very rigid rules, everywhere. You can not settle untamed land, it was possible until about 100 years ago (homesteading) but now all is taken or managed. Transport is faster but again very regulated.

Its really miserable
getting an infection
starving
being scared 24/7 another tribe will attack you, torture you to death and take your women
In modern times, moreso in the vast USA,you can experience connection to nature in a controlled enviroment, by camping or even homesteading

Zoomers are bombarded with demoralization and agiprop 24/7 so they think everything is collapsing and we're all on the verge of eating eachother or a massive civil war.
You actually go outside, everything is fine, wow.

I don't see why it should be miserable. You think all animals are miserable all the time? I think it could be a more fulfilling life. Like we are evolved to deal with those struggles. Not the struggles of keeping Mr. Shekelstein happy at the office.

I think a very convincing argument can be made that it's not just industrialization, it's civilization and agriculture that are the problems as well.

I hate how whenever someone even insinuates that maybe modern life isn't that good in modern society, there is always some faggot who screams "but you were eaten by tigers doe". Evidence has shown that hunter gatherers don't live horrible and brutish lives as you would think. They are hardly regularly starved and usually live to around 65 if they live past childhood.
>>212980156
I don't disagree that the internet gives you a warped perception on reality, and that it makes things seem more dire and chaotic than they are. I don't think we are on the verge of a civil war, or any major cataclysmic event. I think things will slowly become worse over time.

What? They're literally dying of hunger as we speak. The gvt approved the killing of idk how many thousands of elephants.
Meanwhile back in the 60s when it was Rhodesia, they were the richest country in Africa and living standards similar to western europe.

deers, birds and other animals live with paresites all their lives. zebras are eaten alive in the savanah by starving lions who get challanged by stronger lion males etc.
But yeah, being employed in a monotonous office job is grim.

maybe I need to research about it more. But im pretty sure not having antibiotics and food security like today is still a worse faith.
