Japan is truly better than 99% of the world in everything. It is impossible to argue with that. The only non-western country that was able to overtake and surpass the west on its own, without a colonial legacy (unlike the rest of East Asia) . Just the facts.

The Japanese are a bunch of tryhards. Which is a good thing. Having high standards is good.

Except that it results in a nightmarish work culture, and then they kill themselves when they can't achieve "perfection".
This leads to people hyper-specializing in things as if they were insects, everyone trying to be the best at one and only thing.
