very subjective - depends if you're a spice guy or an umami guy, or even a sweet tooth kinda guy

personally a big noodle guy, i've been eating Mee Kari/Curry Laksa since I was 5 years old - buy em from the same stall too

laksa, bar none

the broth is made from fish stock, shrimp paste and tamarind - if you find a place that does it good, stick with it because its kinda hard to find one with *just* the right amount of taste, smell, and texture

i mean, come on, shrimp paste? shit fucking stings your nostrils
tamarind? you can't even bite into em, its that fucking sour
so yeah, laksa is peak malaysian umami
