I'm a hungarianboo myself because it's the only distinct culture in the eastern european mysterymeatslop that cannot be summed up just as a mix of several neighboring cultures. And it's just a very cozy country to live, for me it's perfect balance between tradition and modernity, westerness and easterness, northern and southern climate. On the top of that they have beautiful architecture and tasty cuisine. What else would you want?

im not saying it was done by force or by some royal decree, obviously that imposition might have been gradual and being just a result of the elites' language being seen as more prestigious, so their slavic subjects just preferred to speak it, maybe also mixed marriages were very common but since the Hungarians were the dominant power, in mixed couples it was customary to use Hungarian rather than whatever Slavic dialect. Ofc hard to say with 100% certainity because very little was written down about the beginning of the Hungarian state.
