dont know about westies but here when the tibla union fell lots of people got their living places by some ticket system or something like that. so my mom and dad got apartment for free basically. i will not enjoy that luxury unless i inherit it. and because no gf theres and the apartment is in a really good location no point in renting in my opinion so i just live with them

I cannot afford a car and haven't been to a restaurant since like 3 months.

Europe has California/NYC cost of living with the wages of Mississippi and all of that just so you can live in a satellite town with more refugees than young people.

The beer itself is barely the issue but everything else needed to run a bar is terribly expensive ranging from rent to energy to staff.
On top of that government here is having some weird anti-alcohol stint where they randomly increase taxes on alcohol, ban supermarkets from doing 2 for 1 sales, etc.

yeah its the same here. the only reason beer is only around 3 eur is that our currency has weakened a fuck ton too. back then 3 eur was like some fancy speciality bar selling belgian beer or something and now the most basic beer costs like 2.5 eur but it can be easily 3 eur+

almost 8 eur a beer still sounds insane though. i know that costs and salaries are much higher there but 8 eur for a single beer wtf
