I don't talk to foreigners anymore. I just say I don't speak English with a broken accent despite being C1 since the age of 16-17 o algo. And on hating my country? Well there's worse out there but that's not enough for me to like it. Also all of our geographic neighbours are utter garbage.

I think my country is generally extremely well-functioning with a decent civic culture that still remains. There's some very common political tendencies which I strongly disagree with, but overall it's good.

Took me moving from the US to Argentina to realize I actually do love the US. Also I've learned how much patriotism outside of the US is actually just "I hate my neighbors so I'll pretend I love my country to trigger them". Very few countries out there have genuine love for their country in the way Americans do.
