Second and third world countries have overtaken the UK in terms of quality of life. We've always lived in a rainy shithole, but at least we used to have advanced infrastructure and purchasing power. Now our infrastucture is dated and too expensive to modernise, wages have stagnated and the value of the GBP has plummeted.
