Democracy for whom?
What are 'free' elections? Elections are a farce and if your vote actually mattered you wouldn't be allowed to do so.

Because perusing short term policies that damage the country in the long term to make yourself look good while simultaneously fucking over the opposition government that takes over isn't a good thing?

Because it's naturally coercive, it can't exist in a free state. No one wants to become a slave of society.

Bolsheviks lost the 1917 Russian Constituent Assembly election then the Bolsheviks subsequently disbanded the Constituent Assembly and proceeded to rule the country as a one-party state with all opposition parties banned.

This caused a left wing uprisings against the Bolsheviks who then purged and destroyed them to consolidate power.
left-wing enemies were dealt with by the Cheka
Lenin and the bolsheviks killed off and destroyed the menshiviks, constituent assembly, malhnovshchina, burnatskom, nabat, green armies, black guard, narva and other various anarchists groups also the SRP, ARF, BDA, SFP, USRP and the Left SRS.

This issue was complicated by the economic crisis, not caused by the freedom per se. People become aggressive and racist when there's not enough resources in the pot for everyone

The Chinese are somehow figuring out a sweet spot. Make the people just rich and enfranchised enough that they'll tolerate the uniparty overlordship and restriction.

Russia did in fact hold a free election in 1917, and the Bolsheviks lost badly to Kerensky and the democratic socialists.

It was the whole impetus for the October Revolution. They literally sperged out, said "the people are wrong", and took control.

Then Lenin instituted the idea of "democratic centralism" (top leaders can discuss issues, everyone else MUST obey). And finally Stalin did away with even that modicum of democracy.

Because both communists and nazis are practically the same, and any slight opposition to them has to be answered with violence
There's a very good reason why both ideologies are based on purity tests and allow no dissidence

It's basically fascism
Fascism: applied Syndicalism (Socialized Trade Unions) within the confines of the Nation-State.
Corporatism doesn't mean business corporations.
Corporatism means official guilds or syndicates and state ran checks and balances on industry, its syndicalism with more state involvement. There are no corporatist economies in the 21st century anywhere in the world, it was an early 20th century idea that never fully saw fruition because it was associated with fascism and third positionist movements.
Fascism is, to some extent, pragmatic socialism.
With some understanding of what fascism is. Marxists have since the moment Italian Fascism appeared been trying to come to grips about what it actually historically is. The shit you see about how fascism is capitalism in decay makes literally no sense even within their own framework. That argument has been used since the 1920's and 30's. They fail to even understand the socialist doctrine that fascism came from.
Both fascism and anarcho-communism both have their philosophical origins in Sorelian syndicalism.

because democracy was a thing for the bourgeoisie. The masses demand a strong man or a commune. Over time the bourgeoisie convinced the masses that democracy was actually a good thing for them, because they allowed them to vote for the bourgeoisie candidates
