Why do brown people migrate to European (western) countries?

So? Japan and South Korea (and soon enough China) have higher living standards than us, doesn't mean that I want to immigrate there.
While I can respect them I'd rather bring western civilization to the forefront of human achievement once again.
And even if we are unsuccessful in reclaiming our former glory at least we tried, wouldn't want to be a freeloader benefiting from the achievements of a foreign society.

That would be the global strategy of whole nations, whether you are right or not.
What I'm talking about is this: What motivates the individual brown person to do this? Don't they feel weird coming to a society they had no part in creating and reaping its benefits?
