I have one in my garage for a future arcade machine, the last one we had when they were still a thing was a Loewe which offered much better image quality twhich at the time offered much better image quality than any flat screen. There was no HD media at the time, x264 wasn't out yet, what the hell there was a danish company which was supposed to offer ther first divx compatible dvd player, and it turned out to be shit. There was a divx player for modded PS2s, but the frame dropping was noticeable....

I have an old Samsung monitor that I didn't want to throw away. It's 21", 768p@85hz or 1024p@65hz iirc. Looked pretty nice when I tried it last year but it's too big and I wouldn't frequently use it so it'll stay in a box until it rots away if I don't find something to use it for, I guess

Is there no retro-gaming scene in Brazil? CRT's usually get sold here decently fast

No, we got rid of ours in the early 2010s

Iโ€™d love to get my hands on one, but I sadly donโ€™t have the room for it. These days your only options are Facebook Market, an Estate sale, EBay, or Craigslist

do people usually care about "unimpressive" TVs like picrel?
maybe it's my head on /vr/ memes but I always though only trinitrons and stuff were sought after these days

I think shit like that is fine, obviously the bigger the TV the better, but people will still buy it

It's weird how there isn't some premium gamer TV scam company making new ones for the neckbeard market. CRT components are still commonly used in various industries.

Got rid of those in the mid 2000s.
Even though our standard back then was PAL-M, one good thing about our CRTs was that even the cheapest ones supported both PAL and NTSC. I remember having an NTSC N64 and a PAL PS1.
Most appliances were manufactured here in the 90s, with the exception of Nintendo and Sony consoles, so we had to import them from the US and Europe.
