from the perspective of attracting a wife, men should only care about their hair if they have a crippling injury or medical condition that prevents them from becoming strong . A strong-looking man doesn't need hair to attract a wife.

However, beyond attracting a woman physically, it's also unfortunately true that in many corporate careers, the non-bald man who looks more presentable and dashing will get better opportunities, and better career opportunities can in turn help you attracting a mate or providing for your family.
So if you're in one of those corporate careers where getting the promotion or valuable opportunity comes down to bullshit like that then I understand getting the hair transplant.
