>>213077806 (OP) yet another one of those "science and technology" channels that just read PR statements and hand wave away all the actual technological challenges >hurrr durrrr if you can do electrolysis on the fly you can burn the hydrogen for fuel durrrrrr" it's like an infinite energy machine but with extra steps to fool the normies
>>213078510 I feel like he explained it in detail and I want to have a positiv outlook.

>>213078510 >electrolysis on the fly you can burn the hydrogen for fuel That can't possibly be their idea. There's no way electrolysis and then burning the hydrogen can be efficient enough compared to just using electricity

i drink a lot of water per day but i cant even run 5 miles i hope Toyota is more effectiv
>>213077806 (OP) Your video is clickbait for low IQs, but hikari shokubai is real, which is expected to cause price destruction in hydrogen, one of the reasons why our government is spending an enormous budget on building hydrogen infrastructure
>>213077974 I haven't watched the video but it probably uses a battery of some kind.
It's usually not feasible

>>213079088 >which is expected to cause price destruction in hydrogen the issue with hydrogen is that it's a very tiny molecule that destroys most metals.
it's obviously abundant since you can split water at a very low cost. this doesn't change that any metal which comes into regular contact with hydrogen will become destroyed over time
There's a reason why Toyota massively invests in R&D for hydrogen vehicles.

>>213077806 (OP) I know exactly what this is about and the answer is >no This will be another platinum catalyst fuel cell powered electric motor. The problem which will prevent it's adoption forever is that platinum is expensive and you get a very small amount of power out of the fuel cells in comparison to a regular battery or gas.
