It's obviously not core canon material. That distinction belongs to the original manga run, but it kind of works as supplementary material and ended up giving the non-saiyan characters one final spotlight (although minimal) compared to their final role in the Buu arc.
Daima, on the other hand, doesn't feel canon at all. It feels like a bigger spin-off than GT (which is funny since Toriyama referred GT as a side story).
